Big plans for Creative art trail

Planning is already well under way for The Samford & Surrounds Art Trail & Open Studios in 2023.

Karen Harris has been appointed by The Creative Samford Committee to co-ordinate the event, which is being held in June.

She has been a community Arts and Exhibition Administrator for a number of years as well as planning and producing community events and activities.

“We are planning for the ninth year of the Trails and are committed to ensuring artists have the best opportunity to open their home studios and exhibit work to the broader public,” Karen said.

“We have had a wonderful response from our Creative Samford Inc members and are looking to one of the biggest Trails events ever.

“Every year the Trails bring many new visitors to the Samford, Dayboro, and Mt Mee to Mt Glorious areas and this year we will be promoting the event to an even wider audience.”

Residents across the region have the opportunity to see local artists and artisans on a regular basis, but the Trails encourage more to exhibit their work.

The Trails run each weekend throughout June and, at this time, organisers are encouraging businesses to reach out and become a sponsor or advertise in the Studio Guide.

“We have a number of events planned to coincide and support the Trails in 2023 and really urge local businesses in the Samford, Dayboro and surrounding areas to get involved and support this event which brings thousands of additional visitors to the region,” Karen said.
