Celebrate Seniors Month with The Hills Chamber

The Hills & Districts Chamber of Commerce is celebrating Seniors’ Month and Get Online Week with a lunch and technology session.

Chamber Seniors’ Committee chair Judith Heindorff says the celebrations will coincide with a quarterly Seniors’ Lunch and members and non-members are welcome to attend either lunch, the free technology session led by Graham MacDermott or both.

The buffet roast lunch with baked vegetables starts at noon and includes bread rolls, dessert, tea and coffee, while the tech session starts at 1.45pm.

“After the Quarterly Seniors Lunch we will be offering a free afternoon tea combined with some simple discussions on using technology,” Judith says.

“We have retained a highly credentialed technology tutor who has experience in working with seniors.

“His expertise is in helping seniors to build a healthier relationship with technology including computers, phones, tablets, laptops, TVs and audio devices.”

Graham MacDermott is the principal of The Tech Tutors, which he established specifically to provide affordable help for seniors.

Judith says Graham has a patient approach to teaching and can adapt teaching methods to suit each student.
