Community to rally against domestic violence

Community members, business leaders and representatives from local organisations are being encouraged to come together and take part in the upcoming Moreton Bay Says No To Violence March.

Hosted by Encircle, this peaceful march will be held in Redcliffe on Friday, October 20.

Now in its 15th year, Encircle CEO Chris Staines says the march is an event to bring the community together to stand against violence in all its forms to create a safer community in Moreton Bay.

“This march is a way for everyone across the Moreton Bay community to show their commitment and support to ending family and domestic violence and to unite against all forms of violence in our neighbourhoods,” Chris says.

“As individuals, we each have the power to make a difference. By speaking out against violence, by offering support to those who need it, by fostering open dialogues in our homes and workplaces – we send a clear message that violence has no place in society.”
