Events to connect community
TAFE Queensland (RTO 0275) is partnering with Mercy Community, Family and Child Connect and the Moreton Bay Local Level Alliance to deliver three Connecting Our Community events.
The afternoon sessions will be held from June 5 to 8 at three campuses including two in the Moreton Bay Region. Join them for a free barbecue, entertainment and activities for children and to connect with local community-based support organisations.
A TAFE Queensland spokeswoman said: “We know that families are facing challenges both socially and economically in today’s climate, and at times do not know where to start in seeking support.
“Connecting Our Community is hosting a gathering of community organisations to meet with local residents in order to meet their diverse and unique needs.”
The events are a chance to speak to someone about:
• housing or managing your rental
• health and wellbeing
• finances, budgeting and lifestyle
• caring for a child, an elderly person or someone with a disability or mental health concern
• employment or further education
• family relationships
• NDIS
• men’s information and support
• problematic addiction
• managing your child’s big emotions
• ageing
Participants can register their interest in a private meeting, and who they would like to speak with, via the links below. Alternatively, they can just turn up to any of the three events and speak with someone.
