First land release at new city

The first blocks of land in our region’s new city of Waraba, formerly Caboolture West, are set to be released at Lilywood Landings next week.

Construction in Waraba is well advanced with select VIP buyers being given the chance to reserve blocks on Tuesday, ahead of a public launch.

Prices in the first stages of Lilywood Landings, known as Merryvale, will start from $280,000 to pre-registered buyers.

Developer Lennium Group has already received 1000 registrations of interest from potential buyers.

Waraba is a 40-year project to supply around 30,000 homes plus schools, parks, sporting fields and a town centre for an expected 70,000 people.

Lilywood Landings is at the gateway to the new city and will have a range of affordable homes, as well as Waraba’s first new display village, with around 30 homes. It is expected to open in 2025.

Lennium Group Development Manager Ian Worthington said Lilywood Landings would deliver more than 700 new blocks in coming years.

“The first release of land at Waraba’s first suburb of Lilywood is an historic moment for this new city and Moreton Bay region,” Mr Worthington said.

“Construction of Lilywood Landings only started in February but the creation of our first 228 blocks of land is steaming ahead with the first homes expected to start construction by early next year,” he said.

“We will announce the sizes and prices of blocks in the first stage soon, but land will start at $280,000 for a 315sqm block suitable for a four-bedroom two-bathroom family home.”

Lilywood Landings include a 3.25-hectare central green spine with almost 20 hectares of parklands along its 1.74km Caboolture River frontage, where there will be access for such as kayaking.

Merryvale takes its name from the Merryvale Jersey Stud, a farm owned by the pioneering Newton family, that become a hub for agricultural innovation.

Lilywood Landings will have nine precincts, with many honouring the area’s farming legacy.
