Ausbuild has received approval to build another 195 new homes in the next stage of its The Sanctuary development in Warner.

The latest stage, on the south side of Warner Rd, has semi-rural lots of up to 6200sqm. Pricing is yet to be released.

Fifty homes are being built at The Sanctuary’s first land release, on the north side of Warner Rd. 187 lots have been released in stages one to four.

“Throughout the planning, members of the community and our Community Reference Group contributed feedback to help shape Ausbuild’s development proposal,” joint managing director Matthew Bell said.

“With the community’s input, we have been able to protect green space and wildlife and achieve a diversity of lot sizes at the same time for future homeowners.”

Road upgrades

Mr Bell said Ausbuild is supporting infrastructure such as the South Pine Rd and Coorparoo Rd intersection upgrade and raising a flood-prone section of Warner Rd.

“Ausbuild invested $11.8 million to support Warner’s long-term sustainability and environmental objectives” Mr Bell said.

These include the “rejuvenation of 11ha of dedicated riparian zones, wildlife trails, children’s playground and open parklands and a cycle and pedestrian network,” he said.

“We have included initiatives to protect local wildlife and habitat with 45 per cent of the site rehabilitated as a reserve for fauna and flora.
