Moreton Bay Farm Trail to return this spring
Foodies will once again be able to fill up their esky with a wide range of fresh produce and colourful flowers direct from local farmers and producers when the Moreton Bay Farm Trail returns this spring.
Following the success of the inaugural event in March, visitors will once again gain exclusive behind-the-scenes access to 12 boutique family-owned farms when gates open to the public on September 7.
Organiser Susanne Englehard, who is an advocate for locally grown food, says she hopes the trail will become a seasonal event.
“We were thrilled with the response from the inaugural Moreton Bay Farm Trail in March, and the positive feedback from the community and their desire to see it happen seasonally was truly heartening,” Susanne says.
“The opportunity to visit the farms, wander around, and engage directly with the farmers is a treasured experience for so many people.
“I’m so glad the farmers have come together once again to offer this unique and enriching experience to our community.”
As part of this ticketed self-driving journey, visitors will have the opportunity to directly purchase fresh market produce, in-season strawberries, fresh meat products, award-winning wine, jams, and honey, as well as freshly cut flowers and plants.
Visitors will also be able to get their hands dirty and learn about topics such as permaculture, community gardening, regenerative farming, and more.
There will also be farmer talks, self-guided tours, and activities for the kids.
In addition, more than 20 other local businesses will participate at Farmer’s Hubs held across the trail, with a variety of food options available.
The Moreton Bay Farm Trail is an initiative by Susanne from Growing Made Simple. It is supported by the City of Moreton Bay, Moreton Money, and the Food and Agribusiness Network.

- The Regenerative Training Centre
- Mini Farm Project
- Green Thumb Farm
- Leesa’s Little Farm
- Basilea Living Herbs and Edible Flowers
- Five by Five Experiment
- Fleurpot
- Samford Valley Lavender Farm
- Blue Dog Farm
The iconic 50-year-old roadside stall, Green Haven Stall, and the family-favourite pet chicken farm and shop, City Chicks, will also welcome farm trail visitors.
