New all-abilities playground opening soon
A new all-abilities playground will open at Burpengary East next month - with a special guest joining the celebrations.
Kinship Park, set in the North Harbour development, is a state-of-the-art facility aimed at providing inclusive and accessible play opportunities for everyone in the community.
A North Harbour spokeswoman says the park features specially designed equipment and spaces that ensure all children, regardless of ability, can play together in a safe and welcoming environment.
Special guest
To celebrate the new park, North Harbour will host an official opening on Saturday, July 27, featuring Dolphins NRL Coach Wayne Bennett as a special guest.
There will also be a variety of free inclusive games and activities for all ages and abilities, as well as free food provided by North Harbour.
“This event is a testament to North Harbour's commitment to creating spaces where everyone can live, work, and play together,” the spokeswoman says.
North Harbour is a master-planned community in Burpengary East spanning 785ha.
It includes residential villages, a business park, community spaces and recreational facilities.
The opening event in Fraser Dve on July 27 runs from 1-4pm. There is ample on-site parking, including dedicated spaces for visitors with disabilities.
