Redcliffe will soon be home to Plunge Bathhouse and Recovery Centre, which aims to be a haven for relaxation and wellbeing.
It will be a retreat-style bathhouse, with four 700l baths (two cold and two hot magnesium), two infrared saunas; and beauty salon, offering lash, brow and tanning on Tuesdays.
Work has started on the centre at 457 Oxley Ave, Redcliffe, and it is expected to open in late August.
Owner Jasmine Smith-Raffin says it is a venture, which has been about seven months in the making and was a natural extension of her experience in the beauty industry.
Her business, Lash & Beauty Redcliffe, has operated at Redcliffe for the past seven years.
Jasmine says she has always had an interest in hot and cold therapies and has since expanded her knowledge.
“It will be a mini retreat. We don’t offer anything like that in Redcliffe and I wanted to create something different … somewhere everyone wants to go,” she says.
“It will be a calm, personal area where people can feel confident … a non-judgemental space.”
She will limit numbers to achieve this.
Jasmine first entered business as a 17-year-old and says it has been a great experience.
“Redcliffe is an awesome place to grow your business because there’s so much potential in the area and it’s a supportive community,” she says.
