SES, police join forces at Redcliffe Show

Redcliffe SES volunteers teamed up with officers from Redcliffe Police Station at this year’s Redcliffe Show to spread the word about crime prevention and preparing for storm season.

Acting Senior Sergeant Sarah Grayson says they were at the show for all three days, enjoying the chance to speak with the community about staying safe.

“We were promoting all aspects of crime prevention, home security, safety, vehicle security, road safety, internet safety and recruiting,” she says.

The aim was to get important safety messages out to the community - for the police, it was crime prevention and for the SES, it was preparing for floods and extreme weather.

Across the three days, the SES handed out hundreds of copies of the Moreton Alert brochure and Moreton Bay Regional Council’s Get Ready Guide.

“It was a great three days with huge attendance by the community with lots on display for all,” Acting Sen Sgt Grayson says.
