Shopping centre opening revealed

Stage one of Burpengary Station Village - a new $40 million development which will create 200 jobs when complete - is set to open next month.

The shopping centre, part of a dual-level complex on Henderson Rd, is already 85 per cent leased and will operate alongside the new Burpengary Community Club.

Confirmed centre tenants include Seasons IGA, Café 63, Liquorland, Priceline Pharmacy, Chairman’s Barber Shop, Cignall specialist tobacconist, a medical centre, bakery and dentist.

Time is right

“We have owned the land in Burpengary for around 15 years and held onto the property, waiting for the right time to develop when Burpengary had the capacity to sustain new facilities,” says Robert Comiskey, Group Director of the developer Comiskey Group.

“It has been great to see the development come to life after 15 years of planning and what will be a total construction time of 18 months.”

Once complete, Burpengary Station Village will have 5900sq m of retail including a food and beverage precinct, with child-friendly facilities.

Club opening

Burpengary Community Club, on the lower level, will open in June and have a large bar and restaurant as well as 150 poker machines within its $5million fit out.

The development, close to Burpengary train station, has supported around 200 jobs during construction.

The family-owned Comiskey Group also built and runs the award-winning Eatons Hill Hotel and Sandstone Point Hotel - and recently opened the new Coles at Buderim.
