Pupils from Humpybong State School have been busy creating their very own masterpieces that will go on display at the school’s upcoming Art Show next month.

More than 1400 pieces will be on show in the assembly hall for three days from September 13-15.

Humpybong State School Arts Specialist Susan Gossow says she is proud of all the students and what they have created.

“I am really excited about this year’s Art Show because the kids have worked so hard and made some really impressive pieces,” Susan says.

“All of our students from Prep to Year 6 have taken part and submitted their best piece.

“There will be lots of drawings, paintings, collages, weaving, print making and art installations for people to view.

“The Art Show is a highlight each year, and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger.”

Susan says she likes to challenge the students each year so they can grow as artists.

“We have some fearless artists here at the school who love to create and step out of their comfort zones,” Susan says.

“When they see their artwork on display, you can see how proud they are of themselves.

“It’s really beautiful to see.

“That is why we hope to see lots of people from the community come down and support them.”
