Tradie brothers win Dream Home

Tradie brothers Liam and Rhys have taken home the winning title and $100,000 after flooring the judges on Channel Seven’s 2024 season of Dream Home.

The show follows six pairs of Australians as they renovate each other’s older houses into dream homes.

Liam and Rhys were described as the ‘pair to watch’ this season, as the two offered a brilliant skillset and had a unique design vision.

Liam says the win means “the absolute world” to the duo.

“Not many people will get to experience this competition, let alone win!” he says.

“Without the stress of renovations, my family and I can focus on our next moves in life without that financial stress.

“Rhys plans to finish off renovations on his home to sell and buy a new reno project.”

While winning was the biggest highlight for the pair, there were many other joyful moments the boys experienced.

“Making lifelong friends with the contestants (was a highlight). It can't hurt to have mates in every state,” Liam says.

“Fulfilling my bet with MR cabinets and getting a tattoo of his logo, which I promised to do if we got first place for our kitchen in the first round of judging.

“(And) designing a pink leather tv cabinet for Hannah and Johnny.”

When asked if they have plans to renovate in the future, the duo says: “Absolutely! We do it for a living within our businesses, however we both plan on getting a new reno project which we would help each other out with.

“We would also love to stay in the tv world somehow and get off the tools!”
