About Leanne Hopkins

Succeed Healthcare Solutions Chief Success Officer and founder Leanne Hopkins firmly believes in the importance of helping children reach their full potential.

The business was born after Leanne volunteered for almost a year working in three Romanian orphanages and children’s homes.

She noticed many of the children suffered from delayed development because of the neglect they suffered before being placed in the centres.

Contributing to the issue, many nurses in the centres would not allow orphaned babies to be held by staff of visitors lest they become accustomed to physical contact and then cry for love and attention.

Determined to help, Leanne planned and implemented a developmental therapy program for children aged from birth to six years to help children reach social and physical development milestones before being adopted.

The life-changing experience sparked a passion for helping children reach their full potential and reinforced the importance of effective help, leading Leanne to establish Succeed Healthcare Solutions, which delivers multi-award-winning creative therapy solutions through clubs, in clinics, the community, outdoors or via tele-health.

She says disability has touched the lives of her family in very positive ways.

“It’s given me a lot more skills and knowledge than I would have had without that and it’s a great way to turn some of those learnings into something that can help other people as well,” Leanne said.

Leanne says struggles that develop in child, teen and young adult years can often have significant long-term impacts if not addressed adequately, yet teens and young adults are the least likely to seek the support they need.

“Succeed Healthcare Solutions’ source of inspiration is that the organisation has a strong commitment to adopting and promoting access and inclusion to improve the lives of people with disability as part of its day-to-day business operations.”

She says striving to be more inclusive can only benefit businesses.

“Twenty percent of the population have a disability and there’s a lot of positives – you can definitely turn something that might be seen as a weakness into a positive.”
